Overview
The goal of this Audit is to simplify the product experience for relatively less-technical users so that they can perform their desired tasks as delightfully as possible.
Some of the changes recommended here involve:
- Using Hicks Law to reduce the cognitive load of the interface. For example, if an input field isn’t required at a stage of a task, it’s better hidden or muted.
- Using the Law of Proximity to group Items together, so that people are able to associate meaning or contexts to the task at hand. This reduces the number of things you think about.
- Improving the accessibility of the interface through adequate spacing, clearer type, and a more simple layout.
- With the law of aesthetic usability, I redesigned the components with modern and friendlier visuals (less technical).
With the above points in mind, I made these general modifications:
- Changed the background color to make it more accessible. Darker backgrounds in Dark Mode cause high contrast issues.
- Changed the font to Poppins so that the product could look friendly.

👉🏾 All components are inspired by the Vuetify components. Only styles like color, corner radius, typestyles etc are modified. The layout remains the same.

Brainstorming
I won’t bore you on how I came about with all of the decisions made on the UI. However, you can find my rough draft here:

Navigation
Although it might be out of scope, I decided to work on the navigation of the product because in one way or the other it influences how the user moves through the features. It also affects how quickly a user can find information.
